It was great to review your selections, many of which I also found memorable ... have a great year in 2010 ... looking forward to whatever direction you take ... you have inspired my early forays into people shots for which I have much to thank you.
Glad you posted on the Maniacs site because once you took down Zurich I lost connection with this and I could not locate you. Which saddened me. There are so many of these that I remember at the time, especially the lady reading and the number 3 (you and your numbering!).
I understand about the changes. I have a new venture, too, which is going to ask a lot of me but I am looking forward to it. Whereas you try to not direct your readers, I am taking a shot and weaving a story. Need to get a bit ahead of myself and queue some to take the pressure off.
I am so glad you did this list. I looked through every one, which gave me immense pleasure.
Sean, I wish you health & happiness, peace & contentment as we journey through twenty ten.
Julie... I really enjoy the maniacs site but havent been there in awhile... I am not one to take a photograph of a building or a walkway.... I have done some and appreciate the good ones when I see them but I just could not bring myself to take the time to post one...
Thank you for the kind comments again... ps: I stopped the Zurich site due to some comments about one or two posts... long story!
Thank you for sharing these wonderful images. I like your favorite (the lady reading) too. I don't think the world is a truly bad place. Some people are but most are real.
An eclectic mix of people shots, I do like your approach to them. Like you, I am trying to determine for myself what I want to do with my blog; do I want to keep doing it?
John... the problem is I would imagine that many people dont appreciate how long it takes and the commitment associated. I can click onto a blog, make up my mind in around 5 seconds whether I like the shot or not and move on or comment. Either way my association with the photograph is often not the same as yours nor is it appreciative of the effort you may have gone to... that is life though I guess...you ultimately have to keep doing it for you I guess. I enjoy your photographs. I like the timelessness of them, I like the honesty in them, they obviously give everyone something different but it would be a pity for me if you did not carry on... take a break maybe, come back to it and perhaps you will feel inspired once again?
Happy New Year! I enjoyed your photography and point of view all through 2009. Hope 2010 brings even more things to be amused by!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all these a beautiful body of work. Have a wonderful 2010.

ReplyDeleteI like hearing about your photos.
ReplyDeleteI missed the one of the little girl in the middle of the intersection.
She looks very purposeful.
You sound a little blue.
Hope all is well.
Oh yeah.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really like your landscape shot.
Thank you so much for the great work you're sharing with us Sean!
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well with you and that the new year treat you with careful hands.
