  1. I like the hard contrasts and the perspective :-) This open wide space in the foreground is cool.

  3. The large white space gives a slightly strange feel, then this old guy walks into it with the zimmer shopping trolley; strange. I love the french beret he is wearing. It's strange the way the focus is drawn completely to him.

  7. Most of us need some help throughout our lives to walk the path we have chosen. As we get older, we need even more help.

    Excellent photo, Sean.

  8. It never ceases to fascinate me how you make an ordinary street scene seem so interesting.

  10. Thanks for the comments. Joan Elizabeth... thank you. I liked this because it seemed like the whole road was there for him. I felt like he had waited so patiently for "the gap", and when it came it was everything he hoped for. I have a number of pictures of him making his way around the street and the corners. Very tentative, it was painstaking! I like people like this because no matter how hard it is to do things or maybe even get up in the morning, he still does it with class. I should be ashamed of my sloppy self!

  11. You seem to have a lot of old people in Switzerland.
(we've got a lot of old people in Ararat, too).
I dunno why, but when I lived in the big city (Melbourne) I never seemed to see them.
