This looks almost ... hm ... the light on the left and the light around the boy ... epiphanic! Reminds me more of the Blues Brothers than Eric Carmen, ;-) And therefore I like the little overexposure.
The glare of the light in this one annoys me ... makes my eyes squint as if I'm there in the intense sunlight ... so it has probably worked for the photo rather than against it.
I know that song - good one!
